Trinity Chapel Presbyterian Church
Welcome, and thank you for visiting Trinity Chapel Presbyterian Church. We hope that our website highlights the wide variety of worship, fellowship and service opportunities available. Please feel free to read more about our church on this site, or come in for a visit. We would love to greet you and share with you our love for Jesus Christ and for you, our neighbor.
We believe that the door to salvation is always open and so are the doors to our church. Our mission is to be fully devoted to Jesus by opening our arms to those in search of the truth. We show God’s love and concern for our fellow human at every opportunity. Through works of charity and opening our doors to listen and love, we feel that we are walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.
We offer Children's Sunday School during Worship Service. Our children are learning about the whole Bible in three years using an interactive program called "Gospel Project." We have a team of teachers that take turns in nurturing our children in the Word.
Sunday Morning service is at 9:00 AM
We are using the Narrative Lectionary which is a four year walk through the Bible. Each fall, we focus on the Old Testament up until Advent. After Christmas, we then focus on one of the Gospels going into Easter. After Easter, we begin too look at the early church, as recorded in Acts and the Epistles.
Join Pastor Jeff for Crop Walk in Owensville on October 11 at 2 pm. The Crop Walk raises money to feed the hungry in Owensville. You can sign up on line, or donate to the Crop Walk. See the pastor for details.
We are collecting boxes for Operation Christmas Child this year. The Sunday School kids are also going to be involved, so we need items for them to pack the boxes. Sign up sheet is in the friendly room.
Bible Study; “Jesus, The One and Only” from Beth Moore– Thursdays beginning Oct 1st for ten weeks. Sign up sheets will be in the Friendly Room. This study is for everyone and not just women. We will be looking for volunteers to facilitate each week.
Worship Sunday Oct 11 at 9 AM
Scripture: Exodus 32:1-14
Message: Ten Commandments
God gives the Israelites the Ten Commandments and they are about to violate the first two. The people practice idol worshipping when Moses does not come down from the mountain, and they start getting bored. They make a Golden Calf as an image of God for them to worship. God is not happy and wants to wipe them out, but Moses steps in and convinces God to spare them. God's grace shines through. This grace is offered to us, although we give God many reasons not to.
